Warmwater Club Trip to Lake Capri

Where: Lake Capri - Conyers,GA

Don Miller has kindly invited members of the AFFC to join him fishing the
Lakes at his sub-division in Conyers, GA, on April 23. Don has four large
lakes on his doorstep which are full of warm water species including
Largemouth Bass, Shellcrackers, and Carp. The lakes must be fished from
either a float tube, kayak or small boat (motors not permitted). We have
several float tubes and small boats that can be borrowed for those that do
not have these already.

During April, warmwater fishing can be great fun as the fish become very
active attacking surface lures like poppers. Lake Capri has numerous huge
carp which will swim around on the surface but are very difficulty to get
to feed on a fly but prove a great challenge if hooked.

Please try to car pool with anyone who lives near you or on the route to
Conyers. We will have a truck and trailer combo to shuttle everyone to the
lakes since parking at the lakes is normally very limited. This will be a
very similar trip to the one the was organized to Callaway Gardens last year --
although there will be no guides for this trip.
