Cumberland River (KY) Trip -- Fall, 2000

The Trip Objective: Catch Big Brown Trout

David Winarski had some great success!

Polly Dean & Jimmy Jacobs found some Rainbows as well.
Ray Mann Rd. about 1 mile below Wolf Creek Dam

Mike Wilson & John Henderson cruise the shore after getting tips from the top guide on the river -- who will be our February meeting speaker.
Jimmy Jacobs
Jimmy Jacobs, right, with a 15" Rainbow caught at the Islands, 5 miles downstream of Traces.
Polly Dean in a Quiet Moment

Polly Dean wades some flats at the Rockhouse about 20 miles below Wolf Creek Dam

Ken Louko searches for fish just below Hwy. 61 Bridge and across the river from Traces on Cumberland
A bunch of Atlanta anglers fished the Cumberland during the summer months but we gave it shot in the Fall to explore the territory, so to speak.

The Cumberland River is located about 4 1/2 hours from Atlanta -- a very scenic drive no matter which route you take to get there.
